Jury Duty

Last week, I performed my patriotic duty and reported to the local courthouse to offer my services (sure, I was "volunteered" via a type of summons that warned me that if I didn't show I'd have hell and fines to pay).
I have no issue with jury duty. I think it's kind of cool, to tell the truth.
I noticed how many people worked so hard, and so creatively, to get out of JD any way possible (pinky finger break in '02 permanently traumatized; unable to see men in black robes; brother's roommate's sister-in-law's ex-neighbor's third cousin twice removed is a politician)...
I wonder how many of them had a "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" ribbon on their back bumper?
...grrr...
